Start Your Own Business in 10 Easy Steps

If you are ready to venture out on your own and be your own boss, there are 10 essential steps you need to follow to be set up for success. I will list these steps then go into detail about each step. These steps apply to all small, home-based businesses.

>>>>Determine what area you would like to do business in
>>>>Write a business plan
>>>>Come up with a business name
>>>>Get a business phone number, Address and Checking Account
>>>>Register Your business
>>>>Get Insurance and Bonding
>>>>Get office/business supplies
>>>>Build a Website
>>>>Start Advertising
>>>>Meet with your first customer

1. The first and most important step is to determine what you would like to do. What areas interest you? Do you like pets? Do you like people? Do you want to work on the computer or out in the fresh air? A great place to get an idea of all that is available is IVillage and About.com. Make sure you research the business you are interested in getting into to determine if it is a right fit for you. Join discussion forums and read up on what others in the business experience and ask questions. You can also go to the local library and read books written on the subject. You don't want to invest your money into something you find is not right for you.

2. A business plan is essential for your success and growth as an entrepenuer. You can get a free template at SCORE. A business plan will outline the steps you need to take, how much to spend, and your goals.

3. Once you have decided and researched the business you want to start, you can come up with a business name. Keep it simple and easy for your customers to remember. Your business name should have in it a reflection of what you do. For example, if you are a house cleaner, your business can be something like Perfect Touch Cleaning. If you are a landscaper, you can be called Trimmers Landscaping. You just want to be sure your customers can figure out what you do from your name. Also, make the name easy to pronounce and spell. Ask the people on the discussion groups you belong to which they like best and get some valuable feedback.

4. The next step is to set up your business identity. Your phone number should not be your home number. You can use a cell phone or set up a second dedicated line. You should have a professional voice mail message and should always answer the phone professionally. Next is to set up your mailing address. You can use a PO Box or a private box through UPS. The UPS boxes sound more like you have an actual business address, but either is fine. A PO Box is much cheaper if you want to be cost effective. Your checking account should then be acquired after your phone and mailing address are established. You can get a free business checking account.

5. Once your identity is in place, you can get a business license or register with the state if a license is not required. To find out what is needed for your business.

6. Next you will need a general liability policy. The type of policy coverage will depend on the type of business you are starting. The price will range from $200-$1500 depending on amount of coverage. You can get a price quote at netquote.com or call your local agents such as Nationwide or State Farm. If you are going to have employees, you may also want to get a bond. This will cover your business against employee theft. Your local agents can also help you with this.

7. Next you will need to get your business cards, business forms and other office supplies. You can get your business cards at Vista Print and your business forms at Home Business Forms.

8. Next you will need to start building your website. You can start off with just a basic, free website and move to bigger and better things when you are ready, but I suggest you at least get a domain name ($8/year) to point to the site that way when you are ready to get a better website you won't lose your search engine rankings and have to start over. The purpose of a website is to provide your potential customers with a way to find you over the internet. It doesn't have to be fancy. You mainly just need your name, what you offer and contact info. You can do a very easy, simple website for a great price at Homestead.

9. A website is your first form of advertising, but you are now ready to hit the pavement. Put ads in the paper, inquire about the yellow pages, put up some flyers and starting spreading the word that your business is up and running. During the first year you will be doing a lot of advertising. Make sure you track how much, when and what your return was on advertising so you know where you will need to focus your money next time. You have to determine which form of advertising worked best at getting paying clients.

10.Now that you have reached the last step, your phone should be ringing with your first customer ready to schedule an appointment!

Good luck!

Nokia C7 Pocket Friendly Smartphone

The Nokia C7 is a Symbian^3 smartphone with a 3.5? 360 x 640 pixel AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD video capture capabilities, 3.5G support, WiFi and GPS.

Nokia C7 Compared with the C6-01, the C7 is slimmer at just 10.5mm thickness, but has a larger footprint at 117mm tall and 57mm in width, but that in part is accounted for by the larger display. At 130 grams in weight, the C7 is a relatively heavy device. Even so, the Nokia C7 is still fairly pocket-friendly.

This is another capable multimedia smartphone from Nokia, supporting a wide variety of media formats that can be played back through the 3.5mm AV connector or a stereo Bluetooth headset. The Nokia C7 also has an FM radio, but in addition it has an FM transmitter which allows it to play back through a car or home stereo system without wires.

HSDPA downloads are supported with a maximum speed of 10.2Mbps, and HSUPA uploads of up to 2.0Mbps. The Nokia C7 also supports WiFi, including newer “N” networks. Talktime is quoted as being 5 hours on 3G with up to 27 days standby time, due mostly to the large 1200 mAh battery that is included.

The Nokia C7 has a useful 8GB of internal memory, plus a microSD slot which means that it can be expanded by a further 32GB. The Nokia C7 also comes with Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. Nokia say that the C7 should be available during Q4 2010 in Charcoal Black, Frosty Metal and Mahogany Brown colour schemes for around €335 before tax and subsidy.

Starting A Home Daycare Business

Starting A Home Daycare Business

The childcare or daycare business has become a valuable part of modern society. Parents want a place they can leave their children while they are at work and be assured that their kids are in good hands. With this said, it is apparent that for anybody interested in running a home based daycare business or daycare center, the first priority must be the love of children. Their safety and well being must come before financial gains on your priority list. Starting a daycare center could be the best way to positively impact on the lives of the children and parents in your community. Obviously, in the long run, if properly planned, a daycare business is bound to be lucrative, but you are sure to enjoy the bond created between you, the children and their parents in decades to come, more than any financial again.

However, the love of kids cannot be the only requirement for starting a daycare business. As with any other business, especially small and home based business, several other factors must be put into consideration before jumping into the business. Let's take a look at some of these vital requirements.

For a start, you really have to do thorough research. You have to know what you are getting yourself into, the pros, the cons and the prospects. Does your locality need another daycare operator? Will it be profitable in your area? Are those running the existing centers enjoying the experience? These are some of the numerous questions you need to get answers to. It would be a great idea to visit existing daycare centers; you could interview parents about what they think of the services they are getting, what they expected and also the operators about how well the business is thriving.

You will also want to learn about licensing and certifications required for running a daycare business. Some states will require that you get licensed while some others may not. You may also want to get First Aid, CPR or other kind of certifications. Even if these were not pre-requisites, they would come handy when the business gets into full swing. You never can tell what events could occur, it is always better to be prepared for accidents and eventualities.

There is also the personal side of the story. You need to consider if you want to run a home based daycare business or a daycare center. If it is going to be home based, do you need to modify or change your house to be make it child friendly, do you own a building or will you have to rent the required space. You should also consider what impact being with children all day long would have on you and your family. If you are not a natural child lover, a daycare business may be very demanding, as tending children requires a lot of love, understanding and patience. If you have growing kids yourself, the task may be more demanding, as you never can tell what impact the kids you are tending will have on your own children. However, if handling such things is not stressful for you or if you are stay at home mom that is seeking to supplement her income with the venture, then a home based daycare business might just the right thing for you.

As with any other business venture, a clear business plan would definitely impact positively on its success. You need a business plan to map out the viability or otherwise of the venture. You need to consider the initial capital and expense you will incur setting up the business, where these monies will come from and how you are going to recoup your initial capital plus profit. Your business plan will also take care of all necessary accounting and tax expenses, and even create back ups in case of accidents or other eventualities.

In all, the success of your business venture will be directly proportional to how well prepared you were before you jumped into it. Do as much research as you can, learn all you can find about children and their needs, what parents wish for their children and especially, a good business plan. It is never wrong to be well prepared, you will be better for it.

The salt plains and lakes of Uyuni

The salt plains and lakes of Uyuni - Amazing Photos

Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) is the world’s largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potos√≠ and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes, and is elevated 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar.

The crust serves as a source of salt and covers a pool of brine, which is exceptionally rich in lithium. It contains 50 to 70% of the world’s lithium reserves, which has yet to be extracted. The large area, clear skies and exceptional surface flatness make the Salar an ideal object for calibrating the altimeters of the Earth observation satellites. The Salar serves as the major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and is a major breeding ground for several species of pink flamingos.

Salar de Uyuni is part of the Altiplano of Bolivia in South America. The Altiplano is a high plateau, which was formed during uplift of the Andes mountains. The plateau includes fresh and saltwater lakes as well as salt flats and is surrounded by mountains with no drainage outlets.

The geological history of the Salar is associated with a sequential transformation between several vast lakes. Some 30,000–42,000 years ago, the area was part of a giant prehistoric lake, Lake Minchin. Its age was estimated from radiocarbon dating of shells from outcropping sediments and carbonate reefs and varies between reported studies. Lake Minchin (named after the Juan B. Minchin of Oruro) later transformed into paleolake Tauca having a maximal depth of 140 meters (460 ft), and an estimated age of 13,000–18,000 or 14,900–26,100 years depending on the source.

The youngest prehistoric lake was Coipasa, which was radiocarbon dated to 11,500–13,400 years. When it dried, it left behind two modern lakes, Poop√≥ Lake and Uru Uru Lake, and two major salt deserts, Salar de Coipasa and the larger Salar de Uyuni. Salar de Uyini spreads over 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi), which is roughly 25 times the size of the Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States. Lake Poopo is a neighbor of the much larger lake Titicaca. During the wet season, Titicaca overflows and discharges into Poopo, which, in turn, floods Salar De Coipasa and Salar de Uyuni.

Underneath the surface of the Salar is a lake of brine 2 to 20 meters (7 to 66 ft) deep. The brine is a saturated solution of table salt, lithium chloride and magnesium chloride in water. It is covered with a solid salt crust with a thickness varying between tens of centimeters to a few meters. The center of the Salar contains a few “islands”, which are the remains of the tops of ancient volcanoes which were submerged during the era of lake Minchin. They include unusual and fragile coral-like structures and deposits that often consist of fossils and algae.

The area has a relatively stable average temperature with a peak at 21 °C (70 °F) in November-January and a low of 13 °C (55 °F) in June. The nights are however cold all through the year with temperatures between -9 and 5 °C (16 and 41 °F). The relative humidity is rather low and constant throughout the year at 30–45 %. The rainfall is also low at 1–3 millimeters (0.039–0.12 in) per month between April and November, but it may increase up to 70 millimeters (2.8 in) in January. However, except for January, even in the rainy season the number of rainy days is below 5 per month.

Sara Evans A Little Bit Stronger - Song and Lyrics

Sara Evans A Little Bit Stronger - Song and Lyrics

A Little Bit Stronger is the lead-off single from Sara Evan's sixth studio album Stronger which is expected for release in early 2011. The song was written by Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and Hillary Scott and was released in September 2010.

The song will also be featured on the soundtrack for the 2010 movie Country Strong. The music video, directed by Peter Zavadil, was shot on August 9, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sara Evans A Little Bit Stronger Song Lyrics

Woke up late today, and I still feel the sting of the pain.
But I brushed my teeth anyway, got dressed through the mess and put a smile on my face.
I got a little bit stronger.

Riding in the car to work, and I’m trying to ignore the hurt.
So I turned on the radio, Stupid song made me think of you,
I listened to it for minute, but I changed it.
I’m getting a little bit stronger, just a little bit stronger.

And I’m done hoping that we can work it out,
I’m done with how it feels, spinning my wheels
Letting you drag my heart around.
And ohhh
I’m done thinking, that you could ever change.
I know my heart will never be the same,
but I’m telling myself I’ll be okay.
Even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger.

Doesn’t happen over night, but you turn around and a months gone by,
And you realize you haven’t cried.
I’m not giving you a hour or a second or another minute longer.
I’m busy getting stronger.

I get a little bit stronger.

Getting along without you baby,
I’m better off without you baby,
How does it feel with out me baby?
I’m getting stronger without you baby.

And I’m done hoping that we can work it out,
I’m done with how it feels, spinning my wheels
Letting you drag my heart around.
And ohhh
I’m done thinking, that you could ever change.
I know my heart will never be the same,
but I’m telling myself I’ll be okay,
Even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger.
I get a little bit stronger.

I’m just a little bit stronger.
A little bit, a little bit, a little bit stronger.
I get a little bit stronger.

Do Nishaniyaan - New Song By Sonu Nigam

Do Nishaniyaan - New Song By Sonu Nigam

Do Nishaniyaan is one of the best songs of upcoming Bollywood movie Jhootha hi Sahi starring John Abraham. The song by Sonu Nigam has some fine music, and some wonderful singing, but the best part of the song is its lyrics which are quite interesting and as meaningful as they are poetic.

Do Nishaniyaan Song Lyrics

Ek dor se bandhi kese do kahaniyan
Ek taar se jurd gayi kese yeh, do zindaganiyan
Is phone ke saaz par meri aawaaz bhar, mujh pe hansti hai khamoshiyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan, mere chehre ki do nishaniyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan, mere chehre ki do nishaniyan

Kis ki nawazish huwi rookhi si zindagi par
Halki si baarish huwi sookhi si zindagi par
Hai khauf ke na churaa le koi kal
Mere aasmaan se yeh chori ke baadal
Churaey so yun meherbaniyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan

Maana ke naazil nahi hona tha yeh farishta
Maana ke haasil na hona tha, ham ko yeh rishta
Lagi khoobsurat mujhe ab Khuda tu
Farishte se mere na karna juda tu
Mita de yeh bad-gumaniyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan

Ek dor se bandhi kese do kahaniyan
Ek taar se jurd gaiin kese yeh do zindaganiyan
Is phone ke saaz par meri aawaaz bhar mujh pe hansti hai khamoshiyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan, mere chehre ki do nishaniyan
Mere chehre ki do nishaniyan, mere chehre ki do nishaniyan
