How to Love Your Husband After Marriage: 40 Easy Ways

We have all heard the comment, it’s the thought that counts, and in so many ways that is true. Because if you are trying to get cute ideas on ways to say I love you to your husband, it shows you care. Sometimes guys won’t notice the little things that you do in expressing your love for them, sometimes the gals miss them as well.

Keep in mind that it’s not so much the amount or the efforts of your love expressions, but it’s the essence of those expressions. In other words be yourself and love them from your heart, but at the same time show them the affection where they need it emotionally.

Whether you’ve been married for ten days or ten years, loving your husband well is always a learning process. Probably the most important learning you can do for the health of your relationship. No man is the same, so every wife has to adapt her actions to fit the needs of her husband. However, here are 40 many ways that every man will feel loved, no matter who he is.

1. Regard him as important and let him know he’s important to you.
2. Do everything
3. Communicate with him respectfully.
4. You can to at least understand his feelings even when you disagree with him.
5. Be interested in his friends and occasionally give him time with them (if they are trust-worthy men).
6. Ask for his opinion and let him know you value what he says.
7. Tell him you both love him and like him.
8. Let him feel your approval and affections.
9. Protect his dignity on a daily basis.
10. Be tender with him realizing he has feelings also.
11. Foster an atmosphere of laughter in your home. Look for ways to laugh together.
12. Avoid sudden major changes without discussion and with giving him time to adjust.
13. Learns to respond openly and verbally when he wants to communicate.
14. Comfort him when he is down emotionally.
15. Be interested in what he feels is important in life.
16. Correct him gently and tenderly.
17. Allow him to teach you without putting up your defense.
18. Make special time available to him and your children.
19. Be trustworthy.
20. Compliment him often.
21. Be creative when you express your love, either in words or actions.
22. The future isn’t as far away as it seems sometimes. Talk about where you’d like to be when you’re married 50 years, and work on making those dreams happen.
23. Don’t jump to conclusions if your husband has said or done something questionable. Give him the chance to explain before you pass judgment.
24. Although this is growing increasingly unpopular, it does still work. Just because your husband is in charge of the household doesn’t mean that you can’t share your opinions, it just means he’s captain of the team.
25. Although you may not want to admit it, there will be times when you’re in the wrong. Maybe you’ve said something hurtful or done something insensitive. Never have too much pride to tell him you’re sorry.
26. If you told your husband you’d do something, make sure that you follow through.
27. Rub his feet steer him to the recliner and pull off his shoes. Rub his feet for at least 20 minutes. It has been told that this may even improve his health!
28. Turn your ordinary bedroom into any lover’s dream without a lot of expense. Remove clutter and anything that doesn’t belong, and replace it with scented candles and fresh flowers. Hang pretty curtains and find some comfy bedding. Place mirrors to reflect candlelight, and misting fountains for a romantic effect.
29. While your husband is showering, sneak in and write, “I love you” on the steamed up bathroom mirror. This will steam him up as well, especially if you seal it with your lip prints!
30. I’m talking about a bar of soap! Scratch “I love you” into his soap so he’ll find it the next time he showers. (You may not want to seal this note with your lip prints, though).
31. Go buy some sweet smelling oils and turn your bedroom into a spa! Give your husband a full body massage and work out those aching muscles.
32. When your husband is in a bad mood give him time to recover. Don’t crowd him.
33. Help him to finish his goals, hobbies, or education when your see he needs it.
34. Treat him as if God has stamped on his forehead: “Handle With Care.”
35. Work to get rid of habits that annoy him.
36. Be kind and thoughtful to his relatives. Don’t make him choose between you.
37. Don’t compare his relatives with yours in a negative way.
38. Thank him for things he’s done around the house. (It means a lot to men).
39. Don’t expect credit for all you do for him. Do it as “unto the Lord.”
40. Make sure he agrees with everything important that you’re planning to do.

Advice:

Remember your husband is given to you from God for life. Make the best of your marriage and try one of these things today.

Make Time for Fun -- Push Yourself to Play

Make Time for Fun -- Push Yourself to Play

I have a question for everyone -- about FUN. One of the things that surprised me most about my happiness project was that when I resolved to "Find more fun," it wasn't easy for me to figure out what I found fun.

For example, it took me some real self-examination to acknowledge that one of my passions is children's literature. Now my children's literature reading group is one of the great joys of my life.

I'd love to hear about people's experiences about fun. What do you find fun? Is it something a lot of people find fun, like golf, or something more unusual, like cultivating bonsai plants? Did you always know that this activity was fun for you, or did it take a while to figure it out? Am I the only one who has trouble staying in touch with the question: what is fun? Once you've identified your source of fun, how do you make time for it in your life?

Along the same lines, as another happiness-project experiment in the area of fun, I thought I'd try starting a collection. My mother has several collections, and they are a tremendous source of fun for her (also me, because a few times, she's given me her collections -- like her magnificent Halloween decorations). But it was hard for me to figure out what to collect. In the end, I chose blue birds, because I like them and because the blue bird is a symbol for happiness.

My understanding of fun increased dramatically when I realized one of my most important Secrets of Adulthood: "What's fun for other people may not be fun for you -- and vice versa." For example, activities that many people find fun that I don't find fun: skiing, drinking wine, doing crossword puzzles, shopping, going to concerts, cooking...

Brown Eyes Makeup - Best Tips For Girls

Brown Eyes Makeup - Best Tips For Girls

Eye makeup (eyeliner, eyeshadow, kajal and mascara) is arguably the most fun type of makeup. With a quick sweep of a sponge tipped applicator or cute little brush, you can go from girl next door innocent to positively trampy. Here’s a handy little chart to help you figure out what colors would best suit your eye color. After applying the makeup base, follow these easy steps to get a gorgeous brown eye makeup.

Eye Shadow for Brown Eyes:

Choosing Eye Makeup for Brown Eyes for brown eyes can be somewhat complicated. Why? Because unlike other eye colors, a brown eyed woman has a huge array of hues that are going to look good when she applies them. Literally every color of the rainbow holds potential along with all those wonderful mineral tones. About the only limit you’ve got is your skin tone and working with that.

Eyeshadow Colors for Brown Eyes:

1. Shades of Blue
2. Blue Gray
3. Plum

Eye Makeup Tricks for Brown Eyes:

1. Draw a straight line with a black kohl on the upper lid, to make eyes stay out.
2. It’s an evening make-up, so you have to mark the lower lid too.
3. After you stumped the contour with a cotton bud, apply some violet eyeshadow on the stumped black kohl ( you can use any color you want, like strong green, blue, orange to get a nice summer look). Then fill the upper lid with color.
4. With the help of a thin brush, create a shadow effect by applying a thin amount all round your eyes, from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.
5. After the shadow is even, put just under the eyebrows some golden powder, becasue it’s an evening make-up and you must glow!
6. With a thin brush apply some whiteish, silverish eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eyes, to brighten up the eyes.
7. Put on two coats of mascara and on the cheecks some natural nude blush.
8. To this make-up you can match a nude lipstick or a neutral one, but also some pink or orange lipgloss for volume.

If you have brown eyes, you have lots of makeup options to select:

1. When you apply eye makeup, you should consider one simple rule – light colors bring out, highlight and make larger while dark colors contour and minimize. Following this simple rule you could combine dark eyeliner and light eyeshadows to emphasize your brown eyes with black eyeliner and mascara and light eyeshadows.
2. To draw attention to your eyes, keep the rest of your makeup minimal choosing neutral shades of lip and cheek color. This helps you keep the focus on your eyes.
3. To lighten and open brown eyes and achieve natural eye look, apply light shades such as champagne, peach, light pink, taupes and browns.
4. Pink eyeshadow with a darker color in the crease will really make your eyes brighter.
5. Grey eyeshadow and liners will give you a smokey eye look.
6. Opposite colors brighten each other.
7. Eyeshadow with shimmer will brighten brown eyes.

Natural Colors For Brown Eyes:

The best makeup colors for brown eyes are actually those that are neutral in color. Try colors in the brown family like taupes and peaches. I try to somewhat match my colors for a coordinated look. This is not to say that your shadow should be beige, and your blush beige, and your lipstick beige. I’m not talking about a monotone color, just a coordinated one.

How to Apply Mascara for Brown Eyes:

1. Wiggle the wand left to right at the base of lashes. It’s the mascara placed near the roots not the tips that gives the illusion of length.
2. Pull the wand up and through lashes, wiggling as you go. The wiggling part is key because it separates lashes.
3. In this final step (which I always skip), close the eye and place the mascara wand on top of lashes at the base and pull through to remove any clumps.

Step 1

Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. If your concealer tends to cake, apply eye cream first.

Step 2

Choose foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Apply it in dots over the central part of your face, then blend it out with a makeup sponge or your fingertips until it covers your entire face.

Step 3

Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer. Use pressed powder to touch up when you’re away from home.

Step 4

Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil, which can often look unnatural. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.

Step 5

Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow. There are many variations on eye shadow application techniques.

Step 6

Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you’re trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin.

Step 7

Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring. Or try a colored mascara such as navy or plum for fun, but don’t go too bright if you want to be taken seriously.

Step 8

Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer. If you have to blend in blush, it’s too bright.

Step 9

Choose a lipstick color that’s suited to your skin tone and that’s perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits.

Step 10

Line lips after applying lipstick, not before. That way you won’t end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off. Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick.
